University educated in both graphic design and photography, I look to combine these two disciplines in my work. By applying my creativity, utilizing my conceptual and formal skills in graphic design, and engaging my sense of composition and form, I photograph subjects ranging from commercial products to natural landscapes. In my landscapes, I play with form and light within a composition while seeking out organic textures and silhouetted outlines. For product shots, I focus on capturing and defining the less tangible visual values of a product by enhancing them with carefully composed arrangements of objects and props with either natural or studio lighting.
I am skilled in the dark room as well as in digital manipulation and enhancement techniques. I continue to shoot in both media, and produce works in both color and black and white. I am also working with drawing and with designing the letterforms that make up various typefaces found in poster, package, and menu design.
